Hon’ble Division Bench of High Court of Chhattisgarh vide order dated 02/06/2026 passed in Writ Appeal No.379 of 2026 and Hon’ble Single Bench of High Court of Chhattisgarh vide order dated 18/08/2026 passed in WP(C) No.3256 of 2023 have remanded the matter to the Commission to decide afresh the matter of disallowance of power purchase cost in FY 2011-12, FY 2012-13 and FY 2013-14 of the power procured by M/s Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Co. Ltd. (CSPDCL) from M/s Jindal Steel Limited (JSL). In compliance to the above orders, the Commission vide order dated 03/09/2026, has re-opened the petition No. 07/2014 01/2015. In response, M/s JSL made his submission on 25/09/2026. As decision taken by the Commission in aforesaid matter may affect the tariff of consumers of CSPDCL. Therefore, the Commission has decided to invite objections/suggestions from the stakeholders on the submission made by M/s JSL. For this purpose, relevant documents have been made available below. Interested persons/institutions may file objections/suggestions related to this petition to Secretary, CSERC, Irrigation Colony, Shanti Nagar, Raipur Pin – 492001 by 29/10/2026. Objections/suggestions can also be sent through email to cserc.sec.cg@nic.in. A public hearing on the above petition will be conducted on 30/10/2026 at 12:00 noon in the Commissions Court Room. |
