In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 181(1) read with Section 86 (1)(g) of the Electricity Act, 2003, the Commission has to levy fee for the petitions to be filed before the Commission for various purposes.
In this regard the Commission has notified
regulations namely CSERC (Fees and charges)
Regulations, 2004 and has amendment the same
vide notification dated 8th November 2005. The
petition fees as prescribed for filing
miscellaneous petitions/applications are as
under:-
(a) Petition by a licensees/deemed
licensee/generating company - Rs. 10000/- (Rupees
Ten thousand) per petition
(b) Petition by Institution/organization/company or
body corporate or person exempted from license under
sec. 13 of the Act. - Rs.5000/- (Rupees Five
thousand) per petition

(c) Petition by Individuals consumer - Rs.1000/- (
Rupees one thousand) per petition
(d)
Amendment of petition/application or additional
pleadings/relief for all the categories above. - 10%
of the above fees.
