The
Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory
Commission shall, in pursuance of the mandates
of the Electricity Act, 2003 and of the
National Electricity Policy, endeavour to
provide the people of Chhattisgarh easy access
to quality power - whether they live in the
capital city or in the farthest corners of the
State. It will ensure that this vital
development input is provided on commercial
terms but is still affordable for the common
man. The Commission shall guide and facilitate
reforms in the electricity sector in the State
for the promotion of efficiency, economy,
competition and consumer satisfaction. In this
task it will seek the support and
participation of all the stakeholders,
especially the consumers. It will further
endeavour to foster such regulatory
environment in the State as would promote
investment in the sector to tap its vast
thermal and hydel power potential and also of
renewable energy resources while taking care
of its environment.
